The Robertson County Health Council invited elected officials (state, county, and city), local law enforcement and first responders, members from the Board of Education, chambers of commerce, faith leaders, and mental health organizations to join us for our September Health Council meeting. This year, the September Health Council meeting occurred on World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day (September 10th). We had an amazing turnout for this event! We are thankful for a community that comes together to help spread awareness about the 988 Lifeline, point individuals to mental health resources available in our community, and work together to prevent suicide. We are stronger together. During this meeting the Robertson County Health Council shared about the amazing work that the Council has been doing to promote suicide prevention awareness. In fact, the Robertson County Health Council has been doing such a wonderful job that it was recently selected as the recipient for the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network‘s Statewide Community Award at the 2025 Tennessee Suicide Prevention Statewide Conference! During our September meeting, the Council also received Proclamations from Robertson County Mayor Billy Vogle and Coopertown City Mayor Jeff Smith recognizing September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month! Thank you Mayor Vogle and Mayor Smith!
